associated students, inc.

during my final year at Sacramento State, I interned at Associated Students, Inc. There, I gained experience in communication, meeting deadlines, designing for different types of events, and I even started my new hobby of lettering!

kssu for u

For the KSSU Promo, my goal was to create something appealing to young adults, which makes up a majority of our student body (early twenties to late twenties), especially those who love to listen to music, love sports, entertainment, and would be interested in the Sacramento culture, and new opportunities. By doing so, I incorporated the KSSU colors, a dark, almost navy blue, with a golden yellow, and white. I decided to use hand lettering, because the organic shapes in each hand-drawn word stood out in comparison to the more geometric type and image in the background. It added good contrast in the design, as it boldly states a message while being supported with a subtle related image in the background. I also emphasized the statement "for U" as the golden U mirrors the golden letter U in KSSU, so that students understand that this radio station was solely meant to cater to them.

thankful for you!
